The Roof

Whenever I’m checking out a building, one of the main attractions of that building is the view from the roof. I’m obsessed with checking out stuff from a distance or from an incredible height. I always check out the roofs of houses and building, my favorite being the roof of the Empire State Building in New York, gorgeous view from up there. At school, when I have absolutely nothing else to do and no homework to copy, I head to the roof (with my iPod blasting Van Halen of course). The door, made of mainly metal bars, is locked, so you have to jump the barrier. It’s nothing special up there, though it is empty and quiet and you get an OK mini-view of Hawalli. Hey, it’s better than the noisy hallways! 🙂

Click the pic above for a better shot (quality isn’t great, I used my phone cam). You can see just how deserted the roof really is. Calmest place in school for sure 🙂

Going Out

February 3, 2006

I’m going out in a bit. I hope I’ll find something interesting to take pictures of and post. Since I’m gonna get lunch I’ll probably write up a lunch review, though I doubt it’ll be interesting. Damn kids, all they want is fast food. Remember, I’m 15 and stuck with kids for the day … Blah …

Musician … Anybody … ?

February 2, 2006

Is anybody out there a musician? Play any sort of instrument. In a few days time, it’ll be the one year anniversary of musicianhood (if thats even a real word). I’ve been playing guitar for a while now. Is anybody else out there a guitarist? Know any great guitar places in Kuwait. All comments are welcome …

Lobster Cravings

About a month ago I came back from a trip to the Boston Massachusetts, USA. I lived there for a while and I’m there for a while every year. I spent New Years there. It was fucking perfect. The snow, the cold air, the ice sculptures, the parks, I loved it. The one thing that I simply CANT get out of my mind is my final meal of 2005 …. LOBSTER. It was absolutely perfectly cooked and tender. Since I came back to Kuwait, I don’t know where I can get a damn decent lobster! Does anybody know any great seafood places???
